McKinney, Texas -- Texas A&M AgriLife Extension agents in Collin, Denton, and Hunt counties are hosting their annual Landowner 101 workshop series for new landowners across North Texas. Occurring monthly from April through August, these workshops provide opportunities for landowners to engage with experts and learn about the basics of property management, starting an agricultural business, and best management practices in sustainable agriculture.
Chase Brooke, the Agriculture & Natural Resources County Extension Agent in Collin County, says, “This series really helps new landowners set up their property for success.”
Each session of the series will focus on different topics, and attendees may register to participate either in-person or online. Participants from previous years have found the series useful in planning their operation, starting new agribusinesses, and implementing new practices on their property. Classes start at 9:00 a.m., with lunch provided for in-person participants at 1:00 p.m.
