Hallmark is rolling out the red carpet as their Countdown to Christmas celebrates its 10th year on the air. Here’s everything we know about this year’s record-breaking holiday programming—including the premiere dates for all 40 of this year’s new movies.
Pour yourself a steaming cup of Hallmark’s Christmas tea, because we finally have new details about the 2019 Countdown to Christmas. While we fully support Hallmark airing Christmas movies year-round, the network only releases new material a few months out of the year—and they just shared new information about this year’s iconic Christmas programming.
The schedule released by Hallmark Channel yesterday lists premiere dates for a record-breaking 40 new movies. And spoiler alert: It also includes a new movie starring Dolly Parton that might be the best thing you'll see all season.
But one of the most exciting things we’ve learned about this year's programming is the announcement of a new movie starring Hallmark alum and Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth. She will star in A Christmas Love Story, a classic holiday romance about a New York City choir teacher who falls for the parent of an exceptionally talented student.
While there's no word yet on whether Chenoweth will record any of the music for this film, there is a major music name you can count on hearing this season. Blake Shelton, country singer and star of The Voice, will also be producing his second Hallmark Christmas movie this year, which is set to air in November. Last year, he was the executive producer of Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas, which was reportedly based on Shelton's own life and included his own original music.
Since Hallmark is celebrating its 10th anniversary of the iconic Countdown to Christmas program, we’re sure the holiday flicks in this year’s lineup will be the best yet.
