SHERMAN, TX — Not only is Sherman seeing more businesses and housing developments, the city itself is expanding its own city limits.
The coming Hickory Hill development will sit on 150 acres on the west side of town where Lamberth Road ends.
The City of Sherman is annexing more land to help provide water and sewer for this development.
"It's another great project for the city," said Sherman city spokesperson Nate Strauch. "There's going to be some park land involved with this. There will be a lot of walking trails and things like that. There's a lake at there that's not really accessible right now, but will become accessible. So, it's a really neat project for the city."
